New JBrowse tracks for selecting useful sgRNAs
FlyBase News

FlyBase has incorporated over 10 million short guide RNA (sgRNA) designs from the DRSC. These designs represent all possible 23-mers in the D. melanogaster genome containing a 3′ proto-adjacent motif (PAM) sequence (NGG) and a 15-base 3′ sequence that is unique to the genome. These designs have been further evaluated for predicted efficiency and off-target sites at various mismatch stringencies.

These sgRNA designs are displayed in five “Predicted sgRNA” JBrowse tracks (listed in the “sgRNA Reagents” section). The sgRNA designs are sorted into tracks based on the number of predicted off-target sites; designs with fewer off-target sites are shown in green, and those with more off-target sites are shown in red. Click on the sgRNA glyph in JBrowse to view additional information on predicted efficiency and off-target sites. Please see the FlyBase DRSC_sgRNA_designs report for more information about the sgRNA design process.
