se is an Omega GST.
gfzf is atypical, the GST domain being part of a larger protein and is sometime excluded from analysis of GSTs. (FBrf0202224)
Gdap1 is not classed as a GST because it "belongs to a new group of GST-like proteins, quite different from all other GST classes...although it is likely that GDAP1-class proteins bind glutathione and perhaps function as glutathione transferases, the cellular context of their functions may be essentially different from those of canonical GSTs." (FBrf0212680).
gfzf is atypical, the GST domain being part of a larger protein and is sometime excluded from analysis of GSTs (FBrf0202224). gfzf has transcriptional coactivator activity and glutathione S-transferase activity and has been localised to the nucleus in some studies (FBrf0250640).
GstD3 and GstT4 are excluded from this group because they display no glutathione transferase activity for any substrate tested (FBrf0217315).
