FlyBase Data on OSDC
FlyBase News

FlyBase data are now available on the Open Science Data Cloud (OSDC).

What does this mean?

This means that if you utilize OSDC services for your computational analyses, you can directly access FlyBase data within the OSDC computing environment.

What data are available?

Data from all FlyBase releases are available including GFF, FASTA, XML, precomputed files, Chado PostgreSQL dumps, etc...

How can I access the data?

If you are using an OSDC virtual machine, the data are available via a direct mount point on your system, please contact the OSDC for more details. You can also mirror this data from their system to your local computing environment using their rsync server. To obtain a listing of our root data directory please use the command below and a password of 'guest'.

rsync guest@opensciencedatacloud.org:/glusterfs/osdc_public_data/flybase/

What is the OSDC?

The OSDC is a petabyte scale science cloud for researchers to manage, analyze and share their data and to get easy access to data from other scientists. The OSDC is managed by the Open Cloud Consortium (OCC).
