“We wish to inform the Drosophila community that Harvard will no longer be maintaining the Exelixis Drosophila Collection as of the 15th of October 2019. After then, we will not be able to provide any of these fly lines. While the collection has served the international fly community for 15 years honoring more than 10,000 requests all over the world, newer mutant collections and the apparently unique stocks being kept at Bloomington, render keeping the Exelixis collection impractical and prohibitively expensive for us.”
