U.S. Federal regulations on the movement of transgenic organisms were amended in mid-2020 and new procedures went into effect April 5, 2021. The Bloomington Stock Center worked with USDA officials to put together instructions for obtaining the appropriate documents for the kinds of Drosophila stocks you would like to obtain from your colleagues. U.S. scientists should apply for the new documents and discard old documents as quickly as possible to make the transition go smoothly.
