FlyBase News

The following people/groups shared the 2023 Drosophila Community Service Award in recognition of their work providing the information that drives Drosophila research:

The Drosophila Community Service award is given once a year to acknowledge outstanding contributions to the Drosophila community. This was the inaugural year of the award that was initiated in gratitude for the service of colleagues like Dan Lindsley, Kathy Matthews and Bill Gelbart. A major goal of the award is to raise awareness within the fly community about the depth and diversity of efforts supporting its success. Thanks to the Fly Board and the selection committee for their efforts in making the award happen.
